Experience in the Civil Service… Before 4 Corners Design was set up, Chris Birks worked in the in-house graphic design department at Cheshire County Council for 2 years. He was involved in a wide variety of projects dealing with line managers and procurement officers at a senior level. Projects varied from designing and producing a 'Job Application' document for a new 'Chief Executive' for the County Council through to newsletters and exhibition stands. One of the documents he designed, received a personal 'Thank you' from the Chief Executive for all the hard work put into producing the document. External design service… In July 2005 4 Corners Design approached Cheshire County Council with a view to offering an external design service when the council was at full capacity and needed to outsource. Since then, 4 Corners Design secured a contract to provide a design service for SureStart Cheshire. Using my experience of working for Cheshire County Council I am now working with Warrington Borough Council on several on going projects and have produced work for them since 2006.
